  • From October 1 2011 the new BIL (Bandara International Lombok) will operate in South Central Lombok. The old airport in Mataram will close

  • Minor Seaport in Bangsal for transportation to/from the Gili Islands and to/from Bali via passenger boat

 Key tourist attractions:

  • Surfing – the best waves are found along Lombok’s south coast
  • Treking Mt. Rinjani – Indonesia second highest volcano
  • Diving – popular in the Gili Islands and along the South coast
